While the majority of the attendees of REALTORS® Conference & Expo were soaking up education and inspiration at McCormick Place, hundreds gathered at events at the Sheraton and Chicago Marriott to hear from the two candidates to be the National Association of REALTORS® 2019 First Vice President, Sherri Meadows and Charlie Oppler.
This is the elected position that would lead to becoming the president in 2021. I know and respect both candidates, and I’ve watched them both crisscross the country and the convention, diligently listening to their constituent REALTORS®, honing their stump speeches, and asking for the votes of the NAR directors in whose hands their fates ultimately lie. The position is a very big deal with some very big perks. But it is very much a servant leadership position that takes hundreds of days of campaigning, followed by close to a thousand days on the road for the eventual winner during his or her four years on the NAR leadership team. Here are some photos, taken during the candidates’ respective breakfast events in Chicago, sharing their vision for NAR’s future.
