Wow, thank you NAR!!!
What an amazing conference! After 13 years in the industry, I finally got the opportunity to attend the NAR Annual, and it did not disappoint. Not only was I a first-time attendee, what a true honor to be asked to serve as a Featured Attendee for the Conference Live team and also present to the Women’s Council. As I am getting ready to start packing for my early flight tomorrow, I just wanted to recap some of the amazing experiences from the past couple of days.
First of all, San Francisco itself is a great location. Between the restaurants, shopping, the wharf, and the close proximity to wine country, it truly allows you to blend education with relaxation. I was lucky enough to spend some time at the wharf as well as attend a tour to Napa Valley. Although I am not a wine drinker, Napa Valley was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
The expo is invaluable. To make connections with vendors in person and see demonstrations on tools that will revolutionize the real estate industry was well worth the time. It is great to see so many innovators creating tools to help real estate professionals.
The parties: The YPN event was a blast and it was a great opportunity to catch up with past friends and make some new ones. The Trulia/Marketleader event was an elegant get together with some of the top minds in real estate. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate also hosted an amazing cocktail party to celebrate the Realogy Explore event and Innovation Summit/Hackathon. The slider and potato bar was really good, but the company was even better.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Women’s Council of REALTORS® for inviting me to speak at their event on Saturday. I talked about Mastering Your Listing Presentation and the room was packed. We laughed together, we learned together, and had some fun as we discussed different but effective approaches to securing a listing. I am very appreciative for the opportunity. Just remember, it is not all about the skill, it is about the will. Make it happen!
The Twitter stream: If you are not on Twitter, I would highly recommend checking it out. By using the #NARANNUAL hashtag, I was able to follow along with the other attendees at the event. It was full of great information, photos, videos, and updates on the event. If we are not already connected, I am @karltonutter and would love to connect with you.
Thank you NAR for a fantastic event. I am sad to miss Monday’s events, but am already looking forward to next year. See you then!
